The house on Hollow Lane lets two people in and then splits them up. One of you is in the portrait hall while the other is in the library with the family register. One of you watches a planchette spell something out while the other holds the notebook that decodes it. Neither screen is enough on its own, so you talk the whole way through.
There are four rooms and the clock runs from 11pm to midnight, about twenty-four minutes in real time. Every wrong guess moves the clock forward a minute for both of you, so guessing gets expensive fast. The rooms are reshuffled on every run, so the second time through is a new house.

Say exactly what you see
Which portraits have their eyes open, which symbol the planchette stopped on, what's on the shelf in the mirror. Describe it all. Assume they can see none of it.

Beat midnight
Each lock takes a code or a word. Wrong answers cost a minute of house time. Three candles light a hint each, and they're shared for the whole run.

Is it scary?
Spooky rather than scary. There's a ticking clock, whispers, flickering lights and a mirror that shows one thing too many, but no gore and no jump-scare sounds.
Is it free?
Yes. No account, no payment, nothing to install. You need a browser and one other person.
Can we play it again?
Yes. The portraits, the spirit's name, the toys on the shelf and the words on the door are all regenerated every run.
