The icebreaker everyone already knows, without the bit where you have to remember whose turn it is. You write two true things about yourself and one convincing lie, they pick the fake, and then you swap. Two rounds each.

The lie stays hidden on the server until a guess is committed, so there's no peeking — and the debrief afterwards, where you find out which true thing they thought was invented, is reliably better than the guess itself.

How to play

  1. 01

    Write three statements

Two true, one false. The best lies are boring and specific — dramatic ones give themselves away instantly.

  2. 02

    They pick the fake

They see all three but never which one you marked, until they've committed to a guess.

  3. 03

    Swap and go again

Two turns each, alternating, then a score you can both dispute.

Good for

  • Meeting someone new
  • Two people who think they already know everything about each other

Questions

Can they see which one is the lie?

No. It's withheld on the server until a guess is locked in, so it isn't hidden in the page where someone could find it.

How many rounds?

Four turns — two each — so you both write and both guess twice.
